What areas can be treated with fat dissolving injections?

The most popular areas for treatment are double chins, inner thighs, love handles, abdomens and the back of the upper arms. This procedure is not for weight loss, so areas that are suitable for treatment are generally ‘pockets’ of fat.
The appearance of fat in the double chin area may also be affected by various factors such as muscle tone, therefore a thorough consultation is first needed to assess your suitability for treatment.

Does this treatment hurt and what are the after effects?

The destruction of the fat cells, although very short lasting. The pain is minimal and mild. After the treatment, as the body acts to metabolise the fat cells, moderate swelling will occur, as well as reddening and/or itching. This can take a few hours to develop and usually continues for 3 to 5 days, however some people can experience this for weeks. You may also experience mild to moderate bruising and it may feel firm, lumpy and tender under the skin for the first couple of weeks. How many treatments are necessary?

The number of treatments differs from person to person, depending upon treatment area and size. Generally, 3 to 6 treatments in intervals of 2 to 4 weeks can be expected, however less or more may be required.
